Captain John Mason
One major person who helped New Hampshire would be Captain John Mason. He was born in England in 1602, and became an officer in the English Army when he grew up. In 1632, he moved to Dorchester, Massachusetts and settled there and also represented that village in court. He was elected as a "Freeman" on March 4th 1634/5 . In 1635, he moved to Windsor Connecticut in company with other men. He got married in 1640 with Anne Peck in July.
Even though John wasn't born or went to New Hampshire. He is still effected how New Hampshire was founded. He and Sir Ferdinando Gorges (Found Maine) was given the land by the Council of New England. He even was a part of the Pequot War when he lead 90 men.
